Background

Reese NankReputations PR and Marketing was founded in 2003 by Reese A. Nank, APR following her long career in communications for the insurance and financial industries. Nank has extensive experience in all aspects of communications for non-profits as well as publicly held companies. Accredited by the Public Relations Society of America, Nank spent six years at a non-profit insurer, two years at a start-up telecommunications company, ten years at a large, regional bank and four years at a professional association for financial executives. Nank holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Towson University and a Masters in Administration/Marketing from The Johns Hopkins University, where she was an adjunct faculty member in Public Relations/Publicity and Promotional Strategies Management for four years. She also served as Vice Chair and Director of the Board of the Benefit Corporation Standards Institute (www.bcorpinstitute.org).

Her work includes media relations, writing, event production, video production, brand management, internal and human resources-related issues management, magazine editing and production, Web site conceptualization, direct marketing, executive presentations and speechwriting and crisis communications. Awards

Reese Nank has won numerous awards for her work, the most prestigious being the national Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in 2000 for her branding work at the Association for Financial Professionals.

This campaign also was featured in the case studies section of the Greater Washington Society for Association Executives (GWSAE) Web site and was named first place winner, Institutional Programs in the PRSA Best in Maryland awards for 2000. The launch video was recognized with a PRSA – DC Thoth Award.

Her second PRSA Best in Maryland award came in 2002 for a crisis communications campaign for the AFP’s annual conference post 9-11.

She also has won several local Maryland and D.C. public relations awards for video productions, original song lyrics, United Way campaigns, and internal and external publications.
